Wave is our morning check monitoring dream. From one tool, we can have an overview of all managed advertising campaigns & analytics results. Semetissians are thus capable of easily filtering the anomalies or worrying situations to deep-dive in specific platforms to optimize. Wave is not only budget monitoring but performance as well. Once you have perfectly customized your Wave account, you could reply to the following questions: Is the budget on track? Is the campaign properly running? Are the performances good/as expected? However, time flew since Wave was born and it was time to make him feel young again.

Speed & accuracy

As the number of users, platforms and campaigns kept multiplying, Wave started showing its first signs of halting.

To tackle that, the R&D team of Semetis in data science and development decided to rebuild the backend from scratch with Python, for better data manipulation and machine learning.

By revamping its architecture, implementing data caching and improving its prediction's algorithms, Wave was not only faster but also more accurate than ever.

Design & user-friendliness

As Semetis changed its corporate identity last year, it was the perfect opportunity to refresh Wave's design.

With a look aligned with our new branding, our tool was also given a brand new front-end with a user-friendliness that fits the analysts wishes.

On top of that, we turned it into a progressive web app (PWA), making it even more accessible and reliable.

New features

A completely revamped dashboard offers a personalized overview of the situation by gathering the tasks and alerts.

Alerts? Yes. Because even if you have everything you need at the same point, you still have to reach that point to get the information you need, right? So why stop there when you could be alerted as soon as something goes wrong or an opportunity arises?

The analysts now receive alerts when there is an overspent, a significant metric drop/increase or any anomaly or opportunity that would require your immediate attention. And with the new PWA feature, they have the option to receive the alerts in real-time on their devices. Why wait Monday morning to fix that overspent?

[dropcap]The Semetissians do it again. Another year where Semetis brilliant, distinctive and effective work is apparent to all. Producing a wide range of award-winning work, picking up the double more trophies than any other media agency at the AMMA Awards. They were already in the lead with no less than 8 nominations, and they managed to convert 5 of those. It is the third time in a row we see the Semetissians owning the night. In 2021 Semetis dominated the podium at both the IAB Mixx Awards and the AMMA Awards.[/dropcap]

Semetis Amma Awards June 2022Semetis, the most award-winning agency of the year but not Media Agency of The year. “We entered Brussels Expo, and then the adrenaline really kicked in. The nail-biting started. In a few hours we would find out if we would win Media Agency of the Year, and we did not. And, that is OK. Thirteen years ago, when this agency was launched Semetis was seen as the atypical kid on the block. Tonight, the Semetissian's innovative and data-driven work was the most talked about, showing that years do not define this agency. We did not win the cherry on the cake, but the Semetissians did not pass by unnoticed, and that is a big deal for us.” says Dhan Claes, Managing Director of Semetis.

So the business is firing on all cylinders, but what is the story? Semetis is about introducing a consulting arm, which is all about improving efficiency and productivity by embedding business and data that helps brands to thrive. It has been this theme of constant reinvention that makes Semetis stand out, as well as a track record that showed off not only the agency’s fire power, but also the tangible outcomes it helped brands achieve. Developing this distinctive culture has been impressive. “At a time when network media agencies are under scrutiny and financial pressure, Semetis stands out as a beacon of positive change and decency. BRUSSELS - 09/06/2022 - Lynn Luyckx applied for a job as if she was taking part in Squid Game

 Will your overall employee value proposition, which shapes and defines your organization, set you apart? Absolutely! This is what we have done: Semetis Game. The game has been played for real. More than 300 students subscribed, 20 lucky candidates were carefully chosen,  5 graduates won and one became a Semetissian. 

 At Semetis we strongly believe in winning the talent war will depend more on a company's culture than its pockets. Semetis enlists visionary and critical thinkers who believe in its core values. Growth is one of them. It is also a promise that Semetis makes towards its Semetissians. “Since the very beginning, we have only been promoted from within and have never hired externally. Our recruitment strategy is to employ young graduates only. Qualified candidates are young graduates with a Master’s Degree in Business Economics or Business Engineering. A profile that is very much in demand by large consulting firms such as Deloitte, Accenture, EY, and McKinsey.” says Jennifer Hubert, Operations Director of Semetis. Semetis needed to update itself to be better placed to hire young graduates.

Semetis Game is about beating the war for talent with a company culture. And so Semetis sent out its Profilers to 3 student job fairs in Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp and 11 guest lectures at Universities across the country (VUB, ULB, KULeuven, UGent, UAntwerpen, UCLouvain, ULiege, UHasselt). The approach did not leave students unmoved. More than 300 students signed up for the game after three months of campaigning. Twenty lucky young graduates were carefully chosen to play the game. Five students passed the mysterious assessment test. But only one won a contract to become a Semetissian and her name is Lynn Luyckx. “Lynn has the intellectual curiosity we are looking for at Semetis. She stood out in Semetis Game because of her problem solving skills, her brief and bright answers and her curiosity to drive forward.” explains Jennifer Hubert. Lynn will join the Semetissians on the 4th of July.

Great things in business are never done alone. Semetis teamed up with Veaudeville, a creative marketing agency located in Gooik, for the strategy, concept creation and execution of the campaign. Dhan Claes, Managing Director at Semetis, adds “Veaudeville’s tag line is The Genius Marketing Circus, and they absolutely lived up to their promise. Their brilliance was a key ingredient to the result of being totally differentiated”.

 

A new home for the Semetissians to accommodate accelerated growth

BRUSSELS - 03/05/2022 - Semetis, Belgian leading digital marketing agency, is excited to announce a major office move. Semetis will be moving from its current location at Rue des Palais 44, Brussels to the 16th floor of Botanic Building, Brussels.

The move stems not only from Semetis unprecedented growth in the last few years and our future expansion plans. But from an objective to create a physical work environment that can improve the emotional well-being of the Semetissians” says Jennifer Hubert, Operations Director at Semetis. The Semetissians will be occupying the right wing of WeWork coworking space. It is common knowledge that the corner office is the most coveted location on the entire floor. Yet, this office space is dominated by curved contours and windows, making every spot a sweet spot.

The new space is designed to suit flexible work styles and will adopt a free-desk system that enables smooth collaboration across teams in an environment that facilitates the creation of new ideas. “The office meets various needs, such as a dedicated space for virtual meetings, an area for open meetings, and dedicated booths to concentrate, to improve work environment and productivity” explains Alisson Nonclercq, Happiness Manager at Semetis.

Semetis wants the new office to communicate the feeling of exploration and precision, two key values of its brand identity. “Therefore we teamed up with an architect to give form to this message, creating a truly invigorating work environment.” adds Jennifer Hubert. The office integrates the amazing view over Brussels into its interior design, a swing, a tree and curved-lines environment with warm hardwood floors, indirect lighting and an open space that promotes collaboration. 

The leadership team also raised the bar when it comes to investing in people. The “Work From Anywhere” program launched earlier this year, allowing all Semetissians to enjoy geographic flexibility, during summer months. As part of the WeWork network, the Semetis’ team will have access to WeWork buildings all over the world. As such Semetissians can discover the world traveling while still having access to amazing work spaces.

The Semetis’ team is thankful for the 13 years spent at M-Village. A place where Semetis' inspiring story was written. . “Changing our home means a new chapter.  We are all very much looking forward to it.” says Alisson Nonclercq.
